The Laboratory Manager performs technical laboratory work collecting and analyzing raw water for chemical, physical, and bacteriological characteristics.
Statement of Purpose:
To manage the activities of American Beverage Company’s laboratory and ensure its smooth operation and efficient functioning. The Incumbent is responsible for organizing and directing the daily activities in the laboratory with minimum supervision and a complete understanding of the systems involved. This position is considered a working supervisor.
Responsibilities
Collect raw water samples from various locations in a valid manner consistent with good laboratory practice
Test, and analyze all related water samples collected to determine physical, chemical, biological and bacteriological content in support of efficient operation of water treatment operations
Prepare reagents, chemicals, bacteriological analysis, and standard test solutions; perform mathematical calculations and statistical analyses for test results
Perform a variety of physical, chemical, biological, and bacteriological qualitative and quantitative tests of water samples necessary to ensure that plant processes meet established water treatment standards
Maintain records of tests conducted and their results within quality control and quality assurance parameters; notify supervisors of violations or problems indicated from data; and prepare reports for management as necessary, as directed, and on a regular basis
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, fixtures, and samplers; perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, including the calibration, maintenance, and service of laboratory and process control instrumentation; maintain laboratory in a clean and orderly manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
At least one (1) year at an industrial water purification plant operation with the direct responsibility of water quality analysis and water quality instrument calibration
Identify potential problems or areas for improvement and provides solutions
Must possess knowledge and understanding of water analyses and treatment techniques and support equipment utilized in the water treatment process
Must possess basic computer skills and communicate effectively as interfacing with other support departments will be required
Familiarity with the country regulations where applicable.
Working Conditions
Laboratory setting with exposure to hazardous materials
Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Science or Medical Technology
Four (4) to six (6) years' experience in a laboratory environment with similar functions
ASCP,AMT, HEW or other laboratory certification
supervisory: 3 years (Required)
EPA Regulated Industry: 3 years (Preferred)
QA/QC: 3 years (Preferred)

The Packaging Chain Worker (PCW) at American Beverage Company will assist the manufacturing Team in the production of Fassa waters. This includes extraction, packaging, inventory management duties and labeling. A PCW will take care of the packaging of the products as well as their palletization. This person will be part of a dynamic and passionate team within a fast-growing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pack Fassa products following company’s formulation.
Apply labels to various Fassa products
Carry out quality control checks on finished products
Maintain and update work instructions
Read and identify product labels.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment to include production area
Manage parallel workflows
Keeps a detailed packaging log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant
Fill in as needed in other departments or shifts.
Comfortable performing in a Goal Driven
Pack bottle in pallets and cases
Knows and adheres to the safety procedures; Reports safety concerns to Packaging Manager.
Before loading or cutting any product, check the labels on the container/truck and make sure they match the labels on your hopper/table(s).
Interacts with electronic record keeping
Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet customers’ demands
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Report water quality related issues to the supervisor
Able to setup, package, and maintain
Knows and adheres to the rules of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain
Provide feedback to improve process quality
Some machine maintenance will be required
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in regulated environment with automated or semi-automated equipment
Basic computer skills.
Ability to count
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
English and French languages are a plus.
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
Ability to enter data into electronic tracking systems like Excel or LeafLogix.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch and talk and hear.
Sitting or standing for extended periods is common.
Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common manufacturing and packaging equipment. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, temperatures vary from 40 to 100 degrees.
The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to loud, some areas require hearing protection.

The Processing Chain Worker at the American Beverage Company will work on Fassa waters production assembly line. This includes extraction, packaging, inventory management duties and labeling. He/she will take care of the production of the products as well as their palletizing. This person will be part of a dynamic and passionate team within a fast-growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides support to the operator in their daily tasks.
Packing bottle in pallets and cases
Replenish production equipment with raw materials.
Palletization.
Inspect raw product for contaminants
Knows and adheres to the rules of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Ensure products being handled are correct to plan
Ensure that only a minimal amount of product falls on the floor.
Occasionally use chemicals to wash down machinery.
Keeps the work environment clean.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
