ACCOUNTS PAYABLE INVOICE SPECIALIST

At American Beverage Company (ABC), we work together to create brands people love. You will contribute to the Financial Services team by identifying, addressing, and correcting process deficiencies within Accounts Payable. The AP Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices and work closely with the business stakeholders to resolve aged invoices. The AP Specialist will serve as the key contact to meet daily operational SLAs and resolving aged AP invoice processing related issues and concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and post PO invoices timely and accurately to ensure financial completeness
  • Reconcile open goods receipts to invoices not received (GR/IR)
  • Responsible for blocked invoices and resolutions
  • Create and process credit/debit memos related to process corrections
  • Manages alpha assigned workload to meet daily SLA and aging invoice metric targets
  • Prepare Company taxes and payrolls
  • Assists in research and troubleshooting related to assisting business stakeholders and AP customer service
  • Participates in ad-hoc special projects as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, General Business, and/or Accounting/Finance/Economics preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and possess excellent organizational and research skills
  • Possess the ability to work with minimal direction when necessary to support the group’s objectives and possess high attention to detail, and accuracy, within a high-volume work environment
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, flexible to work with any accounting system, and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of Six Sigma, financial statements, and accounting principles is a plus
