PROCESSING CHAIN WORKER
Fassa Waters
The Processing Chain Worker at the American Beverage Company will work on Fassa waters production assembly line. This includes extraction, packaging, inventory management duties and labeling. He/she will take care of the production of the products as well as their palletizing. This person will be part of a dynamic and passionate team within a fast-growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the operator in their daily tasks.
- Packing bottle in pallets and cases
- Replenish production equipment with raw materials.
- Palletization.
- Inspect raw product for contaminants
- Knows and adheres to the rules of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure products being handled are correct to plan
- Ensure that only a minimal amount of product falls on the floor.
- Occasionally use chemicals to wash down machinery.
- Keeps the work environment clean.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Fill in as needed in other departments or shifts.
- Report water quality related issues to the supervisor
- Report any concerns to your machine operator or lead.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), no prior experience necessary.
- Basic computer skills.
- English and French languages are a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
- Ability to count
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to enter data into electronic tracking systems like Excel or LeafLogix
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch and talk and hear.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods is common.
- Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common manufacturing and packaging equipment. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
- The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, temperatures vary from 40 to 100 degrees.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to loud, some areas
